The late-classical feel of these pieces is a welcome enrichment of the original recorder repertoire - this is also due to its unusual instrumentation. The interpretative challenge, raising questions about the violoncello part, has been taken into account in this edition by offering two different versions: one giving the original text, the other a more congenial playing version that reduces the, in places very extensive, range of the violoncello part to that which is essential.
The marbled coverings of many of these books are made individually by hand. Therefore every copy differs both in colour and pattern from the examples shown. Every cover is unique. Made by Atelier HaPuRo.
